this movie is hilarious. made in 1955 and very very liberal minded. There is this lawyer Mr Egerman who had an affair with an actress and is now married to a very young wife. His son is about to join the church and is obsessed with ideas of in/ virtue etc - he is seduced by the housemaid who is a happy go lucky girl.. and his father is happy about this. Worried about his young wife not having sex with him, Mr Egerman goes back to meet his former mistress and he is driven away by her new lover who is a military man. Also the Mrs Egerman has feelings about her stepson and is upset about his flirting with the maid. The ex-mistress then invites all of them to her mother's house for dinner and conspires with the military guy's wife to match the pairs. its very funny. Will watch this director Ingmar Bergman's other movies.

today i noticed that there are some changes in the lyrics of that julie delphy's song :-) Somehow the one that she sang just with the guitar in the movie was more cute, romantic, with jesse sitting blushing in front waiting to find one more reason to stay longer...what do u think?

How many times did we watch that movie, were we so romantically into it, and how many countless people we forced willingly unwillingly to watch it and they had to always say-"yeah! the movie is great!" those were the times... :-)
